Summer City Market

After a long hiatus, the Summer City Market is back this Friday and Saturday. Starting at 9am, the full day of market goodness includes summer sales, live music and tasty food across Shepparton’s Maude St and surrounds. Be aware, Maude St will be closed to traffic between Fryers and High Sts during the two-day event, so plan accordingly!
The legendary Toni Childs will perform a special two-hour show starting at 7.30pm to celebrate her life’s musical works. Toni will play new music alongside fan favourites such as Union, House Of Hope and The Woman’s Boat. Not for the faint-hearted, but for the fun of the course! Zaidee’s Mad Cow Mud Run returns to KidsTown at 8am. Adults, kids and families can come together to climb, run, jump and slide through the mud in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Zaidee Rainbow Foundation.
A free event to showcase all emergency service organisations from the area. From 10am to 3pm, families can enjoy giveaways, prizes, face painting and food. Plus, static and interactive displays from Fire Rescue Victoria, Victoria Police, State Emergency Service and more!

Nagambie On Water festival
It’s time to go wet and wild for the 16th Nagambie On Water festival. A celebration of people, produce and culture of the region returns to the shores of Lake Nagambie, kicking off at 10am. Watch the seven individual water events or enjoy the range of family-friendly activities on land.

Metricon hosting open house event
Australia’s leading home builder, Metricon, will be hosting a free open house event for the public at its Shepparton studio. Walk through the doors at 10am to be greeted with generous prizes from Residentia, including a Solt pizza oven and a Google Nest. There’ll be a special guest appearance from Pearl the ‘Dulux Dog’, Metricon showbags and much more. Activities include mood-boarding workshops and a children’s colouring competition. Be sure to stop by the coffee cart before you head off.

Riverlinks is the place to be for entertainment this weekend. From Fisk, Utopia and Have You Been Paying Attention, it’s none other than Kitty Flanagan. Her new live show at 5pm and 8pm respectively is full of hard laughs, good times, handy hints and a catchy little tune about underpants. What more could you want?
