The club’s three senior sides will be fresh and ready for the encounter, with all three games won by forfeit over the weekend.
In an unprecedented move, the Roar’s round 19 opponents, Boomers, forfeited the division one men’s, division two men’s and division two women’s matches on Saturday.
Cobram division one men’s coach Vince Iannucci said he was disappointed the games were called off.
“It gives the guys another week’s rest, which is good as we prepare for the next match,” Iannucci said.
“We were going to be missing a couple of players on Saturday night so it was a good opportunity that we didn’t play.”
Ben Zito, Tarkyn Hyde and Spiros Vourgalis will be available for selection for this weekend’s game, with the match against Albury United a must-win.
“It’s sort of out of our hands now in regards to the title,” Iannucci said.
“Depending on what happens in the next three games for us and what happens with them (United) in this game and the last game, we’ve still got a bit of a chance.”
This weekend will also be a big game for the division two women’s team, with the side able to lock in a first place finish with a win Sunday.
It is shaping up to be a massive weekend for the Roar, with two important games and the club’s $100 raffle set to be held.
The senior women’s side is due to kick off at 11:20am on Sunday, with the division one men playing at 3pm.
