One-hundred competitors from Murray Downs, Barham, Finley, Deniliquin, Coleambally, Hay, and even Phillip Island attended in gloomy conditions, with Rich River golfers putting their best foot forward on their home green.
Rhylee Chapman took out the ladies’ championship while D’Arcy Whyte claimed the junior championship with Jaxson McMinn close behind as runner-up.
Tyson McCoomb was runner-up in the men’s championship after a sudden-death play-off against Vincent Kelly from Deniliquin.
Vincent grew up in Echuca, learnt his golf at Rich River and was quite emotional about the win as his mother was in attendance.
