Tesslyn Saunders’ side did what was required on Saturday, and were well aware that a loss could spell a disastrous blow to their top four fortunes.
Overcoming Jerilderie by just six goals, Saunders said it was pleasing to see her side get over the line in a must-win encounter.
“We’re probably at a point now where we’re hitting some good form and playing more consistent netball,” she said.
“Yesterday was quite tough and quite a physical game, they’re a good side, I was very proud of the girls with how they were able to go about it.”
With a home qualifying final against the Bulldogs pencilled in, Saunders said she was hoping to get a strong home crowd to the courts of Katamatite Recreation Reserve for their first finals bout.
“We’ve got Strathy at home in a fortnight, our thirds are playing there on the same day, so we’re hoping to get some home support behind us,” she said.
"We’re just continuing with what we’ve been doing, we know what’s ahead and what we need to do — we’re just continuing to put that into practise.”
