Allan McCole, 31, of Shepparton, appeared briefly in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on Friday where he did not apply for bail.
He has been charged with three counts of burglary, theft of a vehicle, four counts of theft of a trailer, five counts of theft, theft from a shop and nine counts of intentionally damaging property.
Mr McCole has also been charged with six counts of driving while disqualified, failing to stop on request, dishonest retention of stolen goods, 13 counts of committing an indictable offence while on bail and seven counts of attempting to commit an indictable offence.
The charges relate to alleged incidents between September and November, with Mr McCole arrested on Thursday, November 4.
Court documents show police allege Mr McCole stole multiple tools from a shipping container at Shepparton business WB Hunter on September 3 after cutting a lock.
He and a co-offender are alleged to have stolen a trailer from Elders Rural in Shepparton overnight on September 13.
Two nights later a trailer was stolen from GV Unique Outdoors Landscaping in Future Crt, Shepparton.
On September 28, Mr McCole is alleged to have broken into an office and searched through work utes at North East Trucks in Wheeler St, but left empty handed.
Police allege a Coleman Rail site at Murchison was targeted twice in three days with $1000 worth of power tools stolen on September 30 and Mr McCole and a co-accused also attempting to gain entry to toolboxes in the yard.
The following night, October 3, police say Mr McCole and a co-accused went to several Shepparton businesses.
It is alleged they stole a Toyota Tarago and power tools from the Greater Shepparton City Council depot on Doyles Rd.
Police said the two were allegedly using the stolen vehicle when they forced entry to Shepparton Motor Body Builders in Drummond Rd. It is not known if anything was taken.
They then allegedly cut the wire fence into the adjoining Game Traffic Management yard where it is alleged Mr McCole smashed the window of a truck and stole a $600 brushcutter.
Police said the alleged offenders also stole a trailer and $20,000 ride-on mower.
On October 4, Mr McCole and another person allegedly stole an air compressor from United Petroleum in Shepparton.
On October 6, two number plates were allegedly stolen by Mr McCole from a car at Daryl Twitt Motors in Shepparton and attached to a Holden Commodore he was driving.
Almost six hours later, Mr McCole and co-accused are alleged to have stolen a trailer from LDK Trailers in New Dookie Rd.
Ten minutes later police spotted the Holden Commodore towing the allegedly stolen trailer on Pine Lodge South Rd, Shepparton East, and activated their lights and sirens but they failed to stop.
The vehicle and trailer were found dumped on the road a short time later.
Tools were also allegedly stolen from Concept Cars, Benalla Rd, Shepparton, by Mr McCole on October 16, and 15 catalytic convertors were taken from Thompson Motor Group on October 29.
Police also allege Mr McCole cut fences at Goulburn Valley Health, Custom Cabinets, Water Industry Operators Association and North East Trucks on November 3.
Mr McCole was remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court again later in the month.
