The works were produced by children who attend the Art Shed program three times a week, building skills, confidence and cultural understanding through hands‑on learning.
This year’s theme, rain, encouraged students to explore how rainfall shapes Country, from the way water moves across the land to the tiny details that often go unnoticed.
Special guests from several Deniliquin institutions attended the opening, joining families, Elders and community members in celebrating the creativity and cultural knowledge shared by the next generation.
More from the exhibition will be in Friday’s edition of the Pastoral Times.

Blast from the past
One of the last surviving 1970s playground rocket ships has officially landed on the State’s Heritage Register, and Deniliquin shares a special connection.
The original Moree Rocket, installed in 1972 as a nod to Australia’s role in the space race, is now heritage‑listed as one of only two remaining examples of the 38 rockets once found in parks across NSW.
The other stands proudly in Deniliquin’s Scotts Park, on Russell St, a familiar landmark for generations of local families.
