The occasion, combined with Grandparents’ Day, saw students welcome their grandparents and special friends into the school, partaking in informal activities such as cards and crosswords before enjoying the morning tea.
Students were proud to guide their special guests around the school, showcasing new upgrades that many may not have been seen before.
“For a small town, doing this annually creates a sense of community, both inside and outside of the school gates,” principal David Brodie said.
Families generously contributed plates of food for the morning tea, and the school raised $160.65 through gold coin donations for the Cancer Council.
