Teen accidentally shot, according to police

A 16-year-old boy was flown to hospital by air ambulance with what police described as “non-life-threatening injuries”.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the boy was in a serious condition with lower body injuries when he was flown to Melbourne’s The Alfred hospital.

The firearm was seized by police and investigations into the incident are ongoing.
