A pedestrian was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Orrvale early on Tuesday, March 19.
Shepparton Highway Patrol Senior Constable Chris Rendina said police were called to the collision between a small hatchback car and a pedestrian on Orrvale Rd about 6.50am.
The incident happened between Channel Rd and Poplar Ave.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash, but based on what he was wearing, it appeared the pedestrian had been exercising at the time, Sen Constable Rendina said.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the pedestrian — a man in his 40s — was taken to Goulburn Valley Health in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries.
Sen Constable Rendina said the car’s driver was helping police with their inquiries.
Orrvale Rd was closed between Channel Rd and Poplar Ave for several hours while police investigated the collision.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to phone Shepparton police on 5820 5777.
