Saturday's match at Nagambie Recreation Reserve is set to be another cracking instalment in the league's newest rivalry.
Tallygaroopna won the round two clash between the two grand finalists from last season, clinching a 39-point win — as the Redlegs unfurled their premiership flag.
Both sides have saluted in each game since that contest — with the Lakers stringing together a 13-game winning streak — which only adds to the theatre of the round 17 clash.
Although the Redlegs remain undefeated and primed for back-to-back premierships, coach Kevin O'Donoghue stressed his side needed each of its 21 players to contribute against the Lakers.
"We need to make sure everyone performs and does their role this weekend," O'Donoghue said.
"We can't just rely on certain players.
"There's a big focus on the team overall, it's been the case all season."
O'Donoghue's counterpart and Nagambie coach Anthony Haysom agreed, saying his side cannot rely on a select few to get the job done.
"We'll need everyone to be at their best," Haysom said.
"It can't be a couple of boys, everyone needs to play their role on the day.
"Tally are such a great side and are even across the board.
"Hopefully we can get our game going and play the match on our terms."
The looming ruck battle between Tally's Alex Tattersall and Nagambie's Damian Carroll is set to be an intriguing contest.
With the midfield strength of both outfits, who can get first-use of the ball will be pivotal to the end result.
Haysom has been in strong form in recent weeks, as has teammate Blake Fothergill, with the two talents regularly hitting the scoreboard.
While Tally's Ben Wellington, Tim Karolidis and Eamon Reeves have all been strong contributors this season.
However, the two heavyweight sides will go in with fresh injury concerns.
Star Tallygaroopna on-baller Tyson Sidebottom missed the last game against Lancaster, while James Gledhill will be touch-and-go for Saturday.
Nagambie will be without Mitch Sanderson for the important clash, as he recovers from a knee injury.
