Appeal volunteers needed

More volunteers are requested to assist with the collection of donations for the Deniliquin Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal.

Appeal coordinator Faye Mills said volunteers can come along to the Deniliquin RSL Club from 10am today to collect a tin to take out door knocking.

Those wishing to make donations are also invited to come down to the club, where they can donate by cash or card.

“The Deniliquin Rams will have volunteers at the football and netball at Hardinge St oval tonight for their twilight game against the Finley Cats, as is tradition.

“And Deniliquin’s Fire + Rescue New South Wales brigade will also assist again this year by attending local caravan parks.

“But more help is always appreciated.

“Anyone who would like to be a collector can give me a call on 0412 850 041 or just show up to the Deni RSL from 10am onwards (today).”

The volunteer group would also normally host a Good Friday Appeal raffle at the Deniliquin RSL on Good Friday, however one will not be held this year.

In 2023, the Deniliquin community’s combined Good Friday Appeal efforts saw almost $17,000 raised for the Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital.
