The mean maximum temperature during the day in April this year was 21.7ºC, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
This is slightly lower than the historical mean maximum temperature for April of 22.6ºC taken over the past 26 years.
The warmest day for the month saw the mercury rise to 28.7ºC on April 5.
The coolest day, however, was on April 12, where it was a chilly 14.4ºC.
Historical figures for the past 26 years show the hottest April day came in 2018 when the temperature topped 35.1ºC, while the coldest day saw a top temperature of 11ºC in 2008.
Night-time April minimum temperatures this year were as high as 15ºC on April 7, while the coldest night was 4ºC on April 30.
The mean night-time minimum temperature for the month was 9ºC, which is only 0.3ºC higher than the historical mean.
The coldest April night Shepparton has had since records started in 1969 came in 1978 when the temperature gauge plummeted to -1ºC.

This year Shepparton received 45.8mm of rain for the month, which is 8.8mm more than usual for April.
