Kyabram District League will go virtual on Friday night when it holds its end of season presentation ceremony.
The league's night of nights — which includes the crowning of the McNamara Medal and the Warren Medal — will be livestreamed online due to COVID-19 restrictions.
There will be new recipients of the prestigious McNamara and Warren medals with 2019 winners Kaine Herbert and Chicky Barr no longer in the league to defend their crowns.
Award winners from each football and netball grade will be crowned on the night, along with other off-field gongs.
It will be the first time the league's presentation ceremony is held online.
Much like the recent Goulburn Valley League awards night, the medal winners will be interviewed via Zoom from their respective lounge rooms.
League president Fraser Kerrins said the livestream would allow families to enjoy the event from their house and expressed his disappointment of not holding the ceremony in its usual format.
“[Although] it would have been nice to host the event in person, the livestream still provides an opportunity for families to sit down and watch the night together,” Kerrins said.
“The interviews will happen via Zoom to provide as much interaction with players and club officials as we possibly can.”
The event will kick-off at 6pm.
Anyone wishing to tune into the event can access the livestream link on the KDL website and social media channels.
