The Hoppers conceded 200 points for the third game in a row, with the Cutters running rampant to win 34.9 (213) to 3.3 (21) in the Picola District Football League round six match-up.
A rapid start saw Mathoura kick 10 majors in the first quarter, opening up a 55-point lead by the first break.
The domination continued throughout the contest, with Yarroweyah helpless as Mathoura ran up the score.
“It was very pleasing that we probably played the first four-quarter performance of the year,” Mathoura co-coach Tim McCormick said.
“The way we started it was the way that we finished, the consistency was there.
“It's the sort of day you wish you had 22 awards to give out because probably everyone really deserved one Saturday.”
Aron Burns put in a monster performance, kicking 15 goals to rocket into second on the goal kickers list, while young gun Kyle Magro added six of his own.
“The kicking for goal was probably one of the highlights,” McCormick said
“(They were) not all in easy positions, quite a few Aron Burns' goals were from a pocket or a snap around the corner and things like that, so our conversion rate was very good.
“(Burns) was clearly our best with 15 goals, you don’t kick that many too often, and young Kyle Magro who spent a fair bit of time up forward Saturday got six goals. He was very good.”
It’s easy for a side to slip into cruise control in a game where it is so dominant, but McCormick feels the match was good for the side to work on its processes.
“If you do it against one side, there’s no reason why you can’t do it against another side, regardless of who you match up against,” he said.
“Obviously some days it’s not going to work as well as others but the process still works.
“We’ve got to trust in that and not get away from that even when we do come up against the better sides because when we actually moved the ball Saturday, it looked very good.
“There was plenty of support, plenty of voice, so it really reinforces what we’ve been trying to get the group to do on a consistent basis.”
It’s a philosophy that Mathoura, now 2-2, hopes will serve it well in its next game as it hosts Deni Rovers next Saturday.
“Probably the best thing is we’ve come off a win like that, so we’ll go into next week with a lot of confidence,” McCormick said.
“We’ve just got to do the same things next week as we did this week.
“Obviously, they’ve got a couple of targets up forward that are very dangerous, so if we can shut them down that’ll go a long way to us getting the points next week.”

Mathoura also recorded a strong win in A-grade netball, defeating Yarroweyah by 31 goals.
The Cutters jumped out to a 15-6 lead by the end of the first quarter, extending the advantage to 15 by the main break.
An even bigger third quarter saw Mathoura push the lead to 27 at three-quarter time, eventually securing the match 53-22.
“Yarra definitely made it hard to play our own game with a lot of things to take away to work on at training this week,” commented Mathoura coach Tegan Wanganeen.
“Best players Laura Hudson and Gypsy Saunders played their part, running out the mid court with great direction and strong efforts on the one-percenters all game.”
The Cutters are now 2-2 for the season and are sure to be challenged by a table-topping Deni Rovers next Saturday.
