To avoid a clash in junior netball-aligned programs, the young girls took the court in their usual Saturday morning timeslot.
The netballers were faced with extremely challenging conditions as they took to the court in Echuca. On what was a wet, cold and windy day, the slippery court claimed many victims from both teams, as players continued to lead up the court and attack the ball with pace and change of direction.
Despite being hit hard with injuries and illness, the players rallied around each other and the Tigers fought hard throughout all grades.
Defenders were fierce for the Tigers, with hands over ball and strong defensive play creating many opportunities for their attacking teammates.
With positive team talk and direction, players worked to capitalise on loose balls, pulling them in at every opportunity.
At the attacking end, there was plenty to be proud of. Attackers moved the ball well down the court and fed the ball well to goalers, who converted many on the scoreboard.
Unfortunately, too many opportunities went begging and Echuca took the wins in what proved to be a challenging outing.
