Rochester will be hoping an unwanted streak can come to an end in 2023 as the Tigers look to return to the finals at long last.
Rochy hasn’t made the finals in well over a decade — a drought everyone at the club is no doubt eager to end.
The Tigers were competitive in 2022, but ultimately fell short of cracking the top six, finishing eighth with six wins, 10 losses and two draws.
This year, the Tigers will no doubt be gunning to break through their glass ceiling and burst into the top six.
Rochester will have the same core group of players on the court this season, with some emerging stars set to play a role as well.
Last year’s best-and-fairest winner Bridgette Holt will be in yellow-and-black once again, as will league A-grade MVP Teal Hocking.
Hocking will also represent Victoria at the 19-and-under National Championships to be held in Darwin in April.
Ava Cottam, who won the 17-and-under league best-and-fairest last year, is expected to come through the senior ranks, while Kasey Conder will return from an ACL injury last year.
Rachel Whipp and Linda Rasmussen will team up to be Rochester’s A-grade coaches in 2023.
