Charlie McCallum has been given the honour of captaining the under-14s this year.
This is Charlie’s third year playing under-14s cricket for the Rhinos and his skills with bat, ball and in the field will greatly benefit the team.
As the reigning Best and Fairest winner from last year, Charlie will bring plenty of experience to his new leadership role.
Coach Harry Hillier is full of praise for Charlie and said, “Charlie’s leadership and dedication to his cricket and teammates has been tremendous.
“This will develop Charlie into a great young individual who will lead the team with confidence this season.”
Ted Wren and Rory Smith have been announced as co-vice captains who will also be playing their third year of under-14s.
“The new leadership roles will sit well with the boys,” said under-14s team manager Katie Wren.
“The boys liven up every training session and have plenty of spark on the field as well.
“They will provide great support to their captain and to the entire team,” she said.
Harry Hillier has taken over the role as coach of the under-14s and will be ably assisted by Tom McCallum who will be in his first role coaching at the club.
