YellowCover — a brand of transport and logistics company NTI — will be the naming rights sponsor of Jacobson's number 35 Matt Stone Racing entry for the coming season.
With YellowCover specialising in agricultural machinery — and with Kubota also on board as a sponsor — it is a perfect combination for the Shepparton speedster to get back to his country roots.
Jacobson, 27, was thrilled the sponsors had come on board to make life for his team a whole lot easier.
“Today is an exciting day for the entire team at MSR, a lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to expand the operation and it is great to finally reveal our livery for the 2020 Supercar season,” Jacobson said.
“Kubota has established itself as the leading supplier of agriculture, construction and power equipment for over 40 years and I feel privileged to represent these brands both on and off the racetrack.
“It is fantastic to have the support of Yellow Cover and Kubota for the duration of the race calendar. Yellow Cover is all about living and breathing the industry they serve whilst leading the way, this is something that resonates with me and I am really looking forward to assisting them in achieving their objectives.”
The team also announced David Russell would partner Jacobson in the Pirtek Enduro Cup, the 38-year-old veteran of 10 Bathurst 1000 starts to try and help produce strong results.
Sponsor investment is vital for Matt Stone Racing as it adds an extra car to its operation, now fronting two entrants this season up from one.
Owner Matt Stone was thrilled with the direction of his team.
“Matt Stone Racing has always been about performance first, but we are also really trying to make an impression and step up our presentation and commercial programs with our team partners,” he said.
“We’re really trying to make an impression presentation-wise by looking a million bucks this season.
“For us it’s all about stability and growth, so to go into 2020 with a locked in naming rights partner is really good for the whole team.”
