The Redlegs are a game behind second-placed Dookie United, but have a massive percentage advantage should the Thunder falter in either of their last two matches.

On Saturday it was Lancaster who felt the wrath of Tallygaroopna in a 69-21 result, with the Redlegs on a five-game winning streak dating back to a round 10 clash against ladder leader Stanhope.

The difference between a second or third placed finish in the KDL finals system is huge, with the former spot affording the side a week off and a free swing at a grand final position and the latter offering two cutthroat knockout matches in order to make a preliminary final.

It was Pink Round as well as TAC Towards Zero Round at Tallygaroopna Recreation Reserve on Saturday, with Lisa Hueston's troops decked out in full pink uniforms to raise breast cancer awareness.

At Nagambie it was Dookie United taking the chocolates in a 48-41 win, while Murchison-Toolamba locked in a finals berth with a 50-31 triumph against Shepparton East.

Merrigum is also in the box seat for sixth position after a 93-9 drubbing of Ardmona put it a game and plenty of percentage clear of the chasing Eagles and Undera.

Other results had Violet Town ousting Avenel 44-38, Girgarre defeating Rushworth 63-42 and Stanhope compiling its fourth score in a row of at least 85 goals in an 89-23 result against Longwood.
