“We as part of the Kyabram District Football Netball League understand how difficult it is to run clubs financially even when things are pretty rosy, so we can only imagine what the future holds for these clubs,” a club spokesperson said.
The fundraiser will be held on Friday, February 28, at Violet Town Recreation Reserve, and coincides with the AFL State of Origin clash, that will be shown on the big screen.
There will also be live music at the ground, while the bar will be running and a barbecue (gold coin) will be fired up.
The event kicks off at 5.30 pm with the start of the AFLW match between Collingwood and Melbourne.
Familiar faces Steele Sidebottom (Congupna) and Tom Hawkins (Finley) will be lining up for Victoria and the All Stars respectively in the bushfire relief clash on the big screen.
