Between 4 pm and 7 pm, around 70 punters took part in stand-up paddle-boarding on the lake and around 90 participated in pedal-powered go-kart sessions around the lake.
Shepparton business Party Time Jumping Castles co-owner Leonie Simpson said the participants loved taking in the environment of the lake while participating.
“We had lots of families; it was a booked event but lots of people went to both the go-karting and the paddle boarding,” Mrs Simpson said.
“You get a great view of things when you’re pedaling past Aquamoves and see these people paddle-boarding on the lake.”
“It was a nice, family-orientated event, and there were good conditions.”
Greater Shepparton City Council initiative Activities in the Park brought the event to Victoria Park Lake, where participants were provided with an opportunity to trial both activities for free.
