Unleash your agrifood potential at evokeAG 2026

Applications are now open for the 2026 evokeAG Groundbreakers Program, offering emerging agrifood innovators from Australia and New Zealand a chance to showcase their work on a global stage.

Five changemakers aged 18 to 30 will be selected to present their research or innovation at evokeAG 2026, held in Melbourne from February 17-18.

The program targets individuals driving impact across the agrifood sector - from food production and processing to distribution and sustainability.

Each Groundbreaker will receive a $3000 bursary, one-on-one mentoring from industry leaders, professional media support, and a post-event strategy session to build on connections made during the conference.

AgriFutures Australia acting general manager of Global Innovation Networks Angela Wakeman said the program empowers young talent tackling complex challenges in rural industries.

“There’s no shortage of inspiring young minds in agrifood,” she said.

“Groundbreakers connects them with the right people and tools to elevate their ideas and accelerate their impact.”

Since 2019, Groundbreakers alumni have led projects ranging from recyclable livestock ear tags to sustainable seaweed aquaculture.
