The initiative invites residents to share a cuppa and a chat with council leadership in towns across the shire.
Cr Mackrell said the draft four-year council and wellbeing plan was open for public comment, so this presented a valuable opportunity to speak directly with community members and hear their feedback first hand.
“We want to hear what matters most to our residents from towns across our shire,’’ he said.
“This is about listening, learning and working together.’’
The mayor and deputy mayor will visit towns across the shire over three days.
Day one, Friday, July 25: 11am to noon at Rushworth Bakery; 12.35pm to 1.35pm at Toolleen Hotel; and 2pm to 3pm at Colbinabbin Country Hotel.
Day two, Monday, July 28: 8.30am to 9.30am at Gunbower Workshop Cafe; 10.05am to 11.05am at Lockington Business Centre; 11.30am to 12.30pm at Rochester Bakery; and 1pm to 2pm at Busy Bean Echuca West.
Day three, Tuesday, July 29: 9.05am to 10.05am at Tongala Bakery, 10.30am to 11.30am at Stanhope Cafe; and noon to 1pm at Jen’s Café, Kyabram.
Crs Mackrell and Mitchell will be available at each stop to hear from community members about local issues, ideas and aspirations.
