Year level costume winners for the Book Week Parade.

Students from St Michael’s Primary School Deniliquin were dressed to the nines for their Book Week parade on Wednesday.

This year's theme for Book Week is ‘Reading is Magic’.

And with the creativity in the costumes, it would be difficult to believe reading isn’t magic.

Some students were almost unrecognisable in their fantastic outfits.

Students paraded around the concreted, undercover area as their favourite book characters, in front of parents, family members and the St Michael’s community.

After the parade had finished, two students from each year level were awarded gift cards to be used at Deniliquin Newsagency on some new reading material.
