If you missed the story about Randy the golden retriever, you can catch up on 10 play.
Randy was born with a withered front leg, which was painful to put down, so he couldn’t run with the others at the dog park or do many of the normal dog things.
TV vet Dr Chris Brown sought the help of Elizabeth Cox from Shepparton-based Animal Tech, the first Australian-based prosthetic and orthotic clinic for animals.
Fair to say, Randy is a dog everyone will fall in love with, and the ending didn’t leave a dry eye in the house.
From Olympics to politics
Mooroopna’s Colin and Geraldine Repacholi have cheered their son, Daniel, through five Olympic Games, but now he has embarked on a new career.
Dan Repacholi has landed a seat in Federal Parliament after winning the seat of Hunter in NSW for Labor.
We did a story with his parents when he was competing in Tokyo and the decorations on their house at that time did look a lot like corflutes — now we know why.
Well done, Dan.
Speaking of signs
Sam Birrell has kept one electronic billboard sign going post election.
Oddie passed the large illuminated sign on Numurkah Rd the other night and cutting through the fog was Sam’s face with the simple message “Thank you, Nicholls”.
While the election went well, the first trip to Canberra didn’t.
Oddie hears that after the stress of campaigning was over, the flu took the opportunity to invade. Get well, Sam.
