The hustle and bustle of the Victorian Open continued yesterday with the men's and women's pairs hitting the Goulburn Valley greens.

Plenty of home region hopes were able to progress through to the knockout stages, showcasing the strength of the talent in the Goulburn Valley.
In the women's, Shepparton Park duo Sue Tyson and Cathy Dudley made it through to the knockout stages after winning their section.
The pair were taking on Susan Howes and Patty Whorlow at Stanhope for a spot in the second round of the knockout stage.
Moama's Marilyn Stephenson and Melinda Roberts were challenging for a spot in the second stage, while clubmates Sally Beach and Sandra Connolly had already progressed through.
Echuca's Kerryn Evans and Pat Schram also advanced from sectional play.
Meanwhile, Shepparton Park father-son duo Josh and Paul Warren saluted against Koroit's Brian Lenehan and Scott Boschen.
The pair clinched an 18-6 victory at Shepparton Golf to set up an encounter against Bendingo East mates and past Vic Open pairs champions Brad Marron and Lee Schraner.
Another father-son duo, Paul and Daniel Nichols, clinched a dominant 19-5 win to progress through to the third round of the knockout stages.
And Seymour pair Milton Howell and Graeme Flint followed them through after they claimed a 12-8 win.
Tallygaroopna's Mark Ryan and Ocean Grove's Callum Hanna, who started playing bowls at Shepparton RSL, also progressed to the third knockout round.
Unfortunately for Moama pair Robert Wastell and Barry Brennan, they suffered a 20-12 defeat to MCC duo Graeme Spry and Ray Jansen.
