After a week hiatus Payney's Punt is back to grace the Shepparton community with thoughts on the weekend of racing.

We are not ready to look back at our two previous editions, with the number of tips losing set to make anyone second guess each tip from here on in.
But as the old boy would always say, "Once you start second guessing yourself, the bookie has already won.”
There are two massive races being contested today, with the Caulfield Cup and The Everest set to be the focus of punters from across the country.
But with one Goulburn Valley town hosting its biggest race day of the year tomorrow, the analysts at Payney's Punt have been studying the form guides of runners in Seymour.
It's looking to be a great day down at Seymour, with the rail in its true position and the track rated a Good 4, here are our horses to watch tomorrow.
Race 1 - 1.05 pm - Maiden Plate (1600 m)
Seymour Cup day starts with a mile-long maiden and, as always, Payney's Punt is going to stick with Lindsey Park to help start the day with a winner.
Yulong Song is odds-on favourite after only one start and punters seem to have liked his runner-up placing at Benalla three weeks ago.
There is value in the Anthony Freedman-trained runner Aussie Nugget, with the four-year-old placed three times from six starts.
Smoke Bomb gets his third chance at winning and hit the line nicely at his last start.
Race 2 - 1.40 pm - 3-Y-O Maiden Plate (1300 m)
Another maiden on the card, but this time we will only see three-year olds get a crack at things and each runner has two or less race-day experiences.
Our Chevalier enters this with two runs under his belt, but the Robbie Griffiths-trained runner has been there about, placing both times and should be fitter here.
Another to watch is debut runner Kinane, who has yet to trial and has strong pedigree. The only query is the wide barrier.
Current favourite Oasis Girl got stuck at Ballarat last start, but hit the line hard, and is one to keep an eye on.
Race 3 - 2.15 pm - Maiden Plate (1200 m)
The last maiden of the day is raced across six furlongs and expect Blue Sapphire to jump straight to the lead from barrier six.
Sapphire is racing off a 34-week spell and has a recent trial at Cranbourne that should have him ready to take out his first win.
Sea Dragon and Stretti have ideal barriers and both have placings in their debuts. We are expecting those three are set to fight it out to the line.
Race 4 - 2.50 pm - BM64 Hcp (1400 m)
Best to keep your sights set on the two leading the market at the moment, with Green Ivy and Mawaard the two well-backed runners in this race.
Both are returning from spells, with Ivy showing good form first-up. Mawaard returns from a 36-week spell after gelding and his one win from four starts has came off a break.
Meanwhile, Allageri has won two on the trot and should cause headaches for the two favourites. Place only.
Race 5 - 3.25 pm - BM64 Hcp (2000 m)
Race five is the only on the card that is stretched out past a mile and Chris Waller-trained Little Phoenix is one to keep an eye on.
He broke his maiden at his last start at Seymour - after five straight placings - and drops in weight, however, rises in class which may catch him out.
Herecomesmybaby has good claims in the dry, while Hinchin Power is a last start winner at this level.
Race 6 - 4 pm - BM64 Hcp (1200 m)
It's a tough race to pick leading into the feature race but look for Pretty Bella and Captain Hedderwick to lead.
Lindsey Park's Dame of Thrones has our backing, don't let her last run at Moonee Valley deter you. With six starts and two wins, she has plenty of talent and look for her to nestle on the pace from the wide barrier.
For those looking for some multi boosts, Galaxy Ghost had a great win at Warrnambool and has lucked out with the inside barrier. Being a son of Zoustar attracts us even more.
Race 7 - 4.30 pm - Seymour Cup (1600 m)
There is a great mixture of city and country runners in the $200 000 Seymour Cup, with one interstate hopeful our pick of the bunch.
Both Admiral's Joker and Desert Lord have been racing in the big smoke, with the Joker winning three-in-a-row, his most recent being at Caulfield at 1400 m.
And Sydneysider Desert Lord is contesting his first race in Victoria and it will be interesting to see how the five-year-old gelding runs around the course opposite to his Sydney mates.
Desert Lord ran five lengths behind Kolding and Te Akau Shark in the Epsom at his last start and may enjoy a break from the bright lights.
While country cup extraordinaire Reserve Street - winner of the Tatura and Bairnsdale Cups - may make a splash.
Race 8 - 5.05 pm - BM70 Hcp (1600 m)
After the highs of the feature race dies down, racegoers can look for plenty of value in this BM70 handicap.
Starspangled Rodeo is coming off a superb runner-up in Mornington fresh off a break and has great form at this distance. Only query is being drawn out in the car park.
Collectable has had a tough stint in metropolitan races of late, but returns to the country and has won at Seymour before at this distance.
And Pressure is sure to be among contenders, coming off a win at Ballarat, and has drawn perfectly in barrier three.
Race 9 - 5.35 pm - BM78 Hcp (1000 m)
The shortest race on the card is also the most open race to try and land a winner, but it adds as a perfect race for many to land a nice collect in the last leg of the quaddie.
Payney's Punt is leaning towards Fill the Flute, who should lead alongside Haski, and gets back to a distance he has won five times out of eight attempts.
Sagarra enters first-up off a 27-week spell and clinched two wins in his last prep. He has won and placed first-up before and should slot in behind Haski jumping from barrier four.
