The Nagambie Water Ski Club held its second Water Family Fun Day this ski season on Saturday, with about 35 people attending.

Before the blistering heat and wind approached the group, children and adults brushed up on their skills and some even learned new ones.
Event organiser and former NWSC president, Gary Cross, said the day went off without a hitch.
“It was very successful — there were no accidents, no issues — it turned out really well,” he said.
Mr Cross, 55, used to live around Nagambie, and despite a recent move to Phillip Island, he still drives four hours to Nagambie every fortnight to the club he used to run as president.
He said he put his attachment to the club down to its beauty.
“It’s just a beautiful spot and the quality of the water can’t be faulted,” he said.
At Saturday’s event, the attendees got on the water at 8.30am, then after a few hours of water sports, everyone came back to land for a barbecue lunch.
Due to extreme weather conditions, the event wrapped up by 3pm.
Mr Cross said the club was always looking to expand and new members were welcome.
“We’ve got 55 families registered with us at the moment, many of them families with at least two kids; we’ve got babies right up to 18-year-olds,” he said.
The NWSC is about 40 minutes drive from Shepparton, and its next event is Slalom Day on Saturday, January 18.
