More than $100,000 worth of drugs seized in police raids in Shepparton and Melbourne
Police have arrested 15 people and seized almost 850 grams of methamphetamine, imitation firearms and more than $50,000 in cash in a series of drug trafficking raids across Shepparton, Cobram and Melbourne last week.

Detectives from the Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit and Divisional Response Unit executed 17 search warrants at properties in Shepparton, Cobram and Melbourne during a week-long operation between October 9 and 13.
As part of the operation, police seized 842g of methamphetamines worth more than $100,000, 40g of cocaine, 50ml of GHB, MDMA and more than $50,000 in cash.
Two imitation firearms, ammunition and an expandable baton were also seized, as were electronic items, including phones and laptops.
Those arrested by police include:
• A 29-year-old Shepparton man was charged with trafficking commercial quantities of methamphetamines, GHB and cocaine, conspiring to commit an aggravated home invasion with a firearm, possessing an imitation firearm, obtaining property by deception, theft from a shop, disqualified driving, evading police, handling stolen goods, burglary and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He was remanded to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on February 13, 2024.
• A 35-year-old Mooroopna man was charged with trafficking methamphetamines, possessing cannabis, possessing prescription drugs, failing to answer bail and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He was remanded to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on October 13.
• A 42-year-old Shepparton woman was charged with trafficking GHB, possessing GHB and burglary. She was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on April 26.
• A 51-year-old Shepparton woman was charged with trafficking GHB, trafficking methamphetamines, possessing methamphetamines, possessing cocaine, possessing MDMA, handling stolen goods, possessing proceeds of crime, possessing prescription medication and committing an indictable offence while on bail. She was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on October 17.
• A 51-year-old Kialla woman was charged with possessing cocaine, possessing methamphetamines, possessing cannabis, possessing prescription drugs, possessing ammunition and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
She was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on December 4.
• A 28-year-old Kialla woman was charged with trafficking GHB and possessing GHB.
She was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on January 29, 2024.
• A 27-year-old Kialla woman was charged with possessing methamphetamines.
She was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on February 12, 2024.
• A 35-year-old Shepparton man was charged with trafficking methamphetamines, trafficking GHB, committing an indictable offence while on bail, possessing GHB, possessing cannabis and possessing methamphetamines.
He was bailed to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on December 8.
• A 31-year-old Cobram man was charged with trafficking large commercial quantities of methamphetamines and GHB, trafficking heroin, trafficking pseudoephedrine, trafficking MDMA, attempting to traffick a drug of dependence, trafficking heroin, committing an indictable offence on bail, possessing proceeds of crime and possessing methamphetamines.
He was remanded to appear at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on February 13.
• A 25-year-old Cobram man was charged with possessing methamphetamines.
He was bailed to appear at Cobram Magistrates’ Court on February 7, 2024.
• A 33-year-old Cobram man was released and is expected to be charged on summons with possessing methamphetamines.
• A 28-year-old Mount Waverley man was charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of methamphetamines and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 17.
• A 31-year-old Mount Waverley man was charged with trafficking commercial quantities of methamphetamines and possessing proceeds of crime.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 17.
• A 41-year-old Parkdale woman was charged with trafficking GHB, possessing GHB, possessing a prohibited weapon and possessing the proceeds of crime.
She was bailed to appear at Moorabbin Justice Centre on February 18, 2024.
• A 34-year-old Melbourne man was charged with trafficking methamphetamines, possessing methamphetamines, possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing cartridge ammunition, possessing the proceeds of crime and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He was bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on November 23.
