According to the Community Satisfaction Survey 2019-20 Quarter 1, there was a rise in the overall performance of Greater Shepparton City Council.
The survey measures how the council is performing in the eyes of the community, and how it can improve its delivery.
The survey said the council performed well in law enforcement, building control, maternal and child health, events, swimming pools and disability services.
The council also received positive results in overall council direction.
The data said the council needed to improve with its animal management, decisions made in the interests of the community, lobbying on behalf of the community and sealed local roads.
The council's corporate services director Chris Teitzel said he was pleased with the number of positive results in the survey and acknowledged where council needed to improve.
The Community Satisfaction Survey 2019-20 Quarter 2 will take place between Monday, December 2 and Monday, December 16.
