Girl flown to Melbourne hospital after crash

A child was flown to a Melbourne hospital by air ambulance after a crash in Kyabram on Saturday, April 27.

She was one of six people taken to hospital after two vehicles collided at the intersection of McEwen Rd and Webb Rd at 3.50pm.

Campaspe Highway Patrol Acting Sergeant Gary Atkins said a Queensland-registered Nissan Patrol travelling north on McEwen Rd and a Holden Cruze travelling south-west on Webb Rd collided.

A 12-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Holden Cruze, was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital with upper body injuries, in a serious but stable condition.

A four-year-old boy in the Cruze was taken by road ambulance to Goulburn Valley Heath in Shepparton in a stable condition.

Two other adults in the Cruze and two adults in the Nissan Patrol were also taken to GV Health in a stable condition.

Act Sgt Atkins said the two vehicles suffered moderate damage and were towed from the scene.

Campaspe Highway Patrol is investigating the collision, and no charges have been laid.
