Participants chose to take part in either a 8km run, 4km run or 4km walk and raised over $1200 for breast and ovarian cancer research.
Event organiser Emma Godden said she was overwhelmed by the support for the event.
“I was speechless when I seen lots and lots of people involved,” she said.
“It was amazing! Lots of work but I achieved it, at the end felt good knowing people were having good time.”
The were over 400 participants on the day.
Although Ms Godden has participated in the event in previous years, this year was her first time hosting.
The event is especially close to her heart, as she lost her own mother to cancer in 2018.
Participants started their Mother’s Day off with a run and walk around Hopwood Garden.
Snap Fitness Echuca was present on the Sunday morning to lead participants through a few warm-ups.
From 8am, those taking part in the 8km run set off, followed by the 4km runners at 8.15am and the 4km walkers at 9am.
8km run winner Hugh Byrne and 4km run winner Kyle Williams with event organisers Josh Brown and Emma Godden.
There was also a raffle on the day, a tribute wall to commemorate loved ones lost to cancer and face painting for children.
Ms Godden said after the success of her first event, she would definitely consider hosting a Mother’s Day Classic again.
“I would do anything to support this amazing cause,” she said.
“Lots of people gave me lots of feedback and ... how I can make it better next year if I decided to be host again for (the) MDC.”
Campaspe Shire Council chief executive Pauline Gordon and Emma Godden wore their best pink outfits.
Although the Mother’s Day Classic events are now over, donations are still being accepted until Monday, June 30.
