Friends of SAM's annual major fundraiser, its gala dinner, is back and this year features the incredible works of the talented Boyd family.
Descendants of the Boyd family will be present, and tours will be available on the night of Shepparton Art Museum’s current Boyd displays — Arthur Boyd: Landscape of the Soul and The Boyd Family: A Legacy of Pottery. These tours can be booked when purchasing tickets.
“We are privileged to have Arthur Boyd’s work on show at SAM alongside some of our own collection of Boyd ceramics,” Friends of SAM committee president Ann Fagan said.
Entertainment includes music by Just the Three of Us and Rick Brun, accompanied by food and wine from regional areas with an auction of art, wine and accommodation packages as well.
“The committee is delighted to present this dinner to contribute to the celebration of the Boyd family legacy,” Ms Fagan said.
“Regional wineries, artists and businesses have given generously to help make the event a success.”
The dinner will be at Shepparton's Eastbank Centre, Welsford St on Saturday, October 19. Tickets are $120 per person and tables seat 10.
