A flood watch was issued for the Seven and Castle creeks on Sunday, August 21.

The Bureau of Meteorology said minor flooding was possible from Monday, August 22, for catchments in the flood watch zone.

A cold front will cross Victoria on Monday bringing rain to the flood watch areas on Monday and Tuesday.

Falls of 15mm to 30mm, with isolated totals up to 40mm were forecast over the eastern ranges during the two days, according to bureau.

Catchments in the flood watch area were already wet from recent rainfall, with elevated river levels within some catchments.

Other catchments likely to be affected include the Goulburn River upstream of Lake Eildon, Ovens and King rivers, and Upper Murray and Mitta Mitta rivers.
