Five homes were the backdrops for the night as groups were treated to nibbles and home-cooked meals at $25 per person.
Afterwards, the Rotary bus was used to connect patrons to Rochester Hotel where they were greeted with coffee, slice and a raffle (thanks to the prizes that were donated).
REDHS Auxiliary president Maureen Leahy said the night was a great success.
‘‘For the first time we’ve held the event, it really was wonderful,’’ she said.
‘‘We managed to raise $1800 through the dinner and the raffle tickets, which was great.’’
Mrs Leahy said it was a way of bringing people together that may not have otherwise had the chance to.
‘‘We got a group of younger people who wouldn’t usually be able to get to coffee during the week because they’ve been working,’’ she said.
The REDHS Auxiliary would like to thank the following businesses for their kind donations and contributions to the night; Bellus Studio Beauty & Skin Clinic, Betta Electrical, Chemmart, Criterion Hotel, Camped Hair, Elsey’s Quality Chickens, Em’s Hairdressing, Gypseastorm Hair Studio, Kits Kafe, Mitre 10, New Image Salon, Parson’s Rochester, Sportspower, Rochester Discounts, Rochester Bakery and Rochester Newsagency.
Thanks are also in order for those who attended, helped run the night and made it all possible.
