Yarrawonga officers with the assistance of Cobram Crime Investigation Unit detectives attended a property on McLean Street last Thursday, April 11 around 2.15pm.
Detectives allegedly seized a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine.
Police also allegedly seized a trafficable quantity of cocaine, heroin and cannabis as well as various prescription medication, three tasers, a box of fireworks and more than $15,000 cash.
A 53-year-old Yarrawonga man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with traffic commercial quantity of methylamphetamine as well as drug possession, weapons and fireworks offences.
He has been remanded to appear at Wangaratta Magistrates’ Court on 1 August.
“This arrest has seriously impacted and disrupted local drug activity which is a significant win for the community,” Detective Senior Constable Amy McColl said.
“Search warrants like these often come as a result of members of the public seeing something suspicious and reporting criminal activity.
“Our investigators are grateful to the community who are our eyes and ears on the ground keeping us informed on the safety of their neighbourhood.”

Wanted man arrested
A 49 year old male, wanted in relation to shop thefts, was arrested in Belmore Street on Monday afternoon. The man had four outstanding warrants. He was charged and will be bailed to appear at Cobram Magistrates Court at a later date.
