That break will continue throughout the holiday period of December 2019 and January 2020, before returning "bigger and better" in February.
Council said the mall activation initiative had taken Greater Shepparton by storm in 2019, highlighting the range of diverse communities which call the region home on the first Saturday of the month in the Maude St Mall.
Throughout the year people were treated to traditional music, dance, food and activities by our Malaysian, Iraqi, Filipino, Syrian, Afghan and Chinese communities.
Council place manager Bonnie McIntosh said the break would be used to develop the Culture Corner concept to ensure its sustainability for the future.
“Our diverse and rich culture is one of our greatest strengths here in Greater Shepparton and we need to continue to celebrate it,” she said.
“Culture Corner is an opportunity to come together as a vibrant, cohesive society celebrating and incorporating all aspects of our multicultural communities, showcasing not only the depth of diversity in our region, but in our everyday life in the Greater Shepparton.”
