The event took the form of traditional ‘Pink Ribbon Morning Tea’ and ‘Pink Ribbon Afternoon Tea’ gatherings, hosted at Cadell’s Echuca and Epping sites.
The campaign was amplified with the invaluable assistance of Nancy Turner, who utilised web pages and social media platforms to spread the message far and wide.
Yummy: The delectable spread on offer at the Cadell morning tea.
At the Echuca location, Shannon Caspar, Jennifer Fawcett, Anne Mahony, and Rikkie Wigernes worked collaboratively to set up a spread for the morning and afternoon tea, with the kind support of Maree Harris, who ensured that the sausage rolls were served piping hot.
A highlight of the fundraiser was the sale of pink ribbons to Cadell Food Service staff and customers, which was met with enthusiasm and support.
The event continued with an exciting raffle, which wouldn’t have been possible without the generous sponsors who provided fantastic prizes.
First prize included a Bertocchi box of deli meat, Christmas ham and cheeses, while the second prize offered a Cadell Food Service $50 credit card.
The third prize was a delightful assortment of Allied Pinnacle iced pink doughnuts.
Beyond the fundraising activities, morning tea and afternoon tea attendees generously contributed by bringing plates of food to share.
The sense of community was palpable as people donated to the NBCF, knowing that every dollar would contribute to the ongoing fight against breast cancer.
Ms Turner thoughtfully set up a morning tea for customers coming into the shop, and as they indulged in treats, they generously donated and purchased pink ribbons.
Jenny Taylor, Donna Hatty, Sally Frith, and Hollie Dorward from the shop retail staff actively engaged with customers and supported the morning tea.
This fundraiser was a collaborative effort, with every Cadell Food Service team member participating enthusiastically.
The event was a testament to the power of community spirit and the desire to give back.
“Everyone was delighted to be part of something that gives back to the community and helps support breast cancer research,” Mr Caspar said.
The event was a resounding success, achieving its initial goal of $1000 and ultimately raising $1278.30.
Cadell Food Service thanked its fellow sponsors, Bertocchi and Allied Pinnacle, for contributing to the raffle fundraiser.
It also extended heartfelt thanks to all Cadell employees and customers who generously donated, emphasising their collective impact.
