So said car enthusiast James Devaney at Merrigum's Wheels at the Gum Car and Bike show on Saturday.
Polishing his 1975 Holden HQ, Mr Devaney said he soaked up the sun and drove from Seymour to share the joy of his prized possession with other passionate car lovers.
People young and old rolled through the gates of Merrigum's football ground to feast their eyes on the dozens of shiny bikes and cars on show.
Cars lined the reserve for the hundreds of visitors to gaze on in awe and select their favourite for the people's choice award.
Among the lines of cars sat Frank Tobias eating his lunch in his beloved 1925 Dodge.
“The car is one year older then the person that owns it,” said the 93-year-old.
Looking not a day over 60, Mr Tobias said his four sons and wife use to travel across Australia in the car, but now it was only driven on special occasions.
“I was in Melbourne years ago with my four kids in the back and wife to the side and it was pouring rain, my wife was wiping the windscreen to help me see,” he said.
“This car only has back brakes and they don’t work in the rain.
“We were going downhill and the lights flashed red — and all I will say is that it was a very close call,” he said with a smile.
With people happily sharing vehicle-related tips and tales, the day also offered food stalls and children's entertainment, while the adults had the opportunity to relax on the grass listening to live music and treat themselves to a drink at the bar.
