On the hunt to earn another badge, 1st Kialla Scout Joeys have donated blankets to Shepparton Animal Shelter.
Focusing on team work, the Joeys collected blankets from friends and family and school communities.
Joey Scout leader Dianne Adams said to achieve the “caring and sharing” badge the Joeys had to perform a special deed for the community.
“Kids connect with animals at this age and especially animals in need, so it was really good for them and they could understand why we were doing it,” Mrs Adams said.
Greater Shepparton City Council's local laws and animal management co-ordinator Alison Greenwood said it was amazing to see the number of blankets the Joeys had collected.
“It was their initiative to approach us, and the animals are certainly going to appreciate it,” she said.
