Hundreds of people bagged bargains at Shepparton Summer City Market yesterday.

The first day of the two-day event brought the CBD to life as shoppers trawled through the shops and street stalls.

Kids’ activities included face painting, balloon making, a jumping castle and rareanimal display.

Shoppers were also amazed to have the opportunity to pat a dingo pup named Ned.

Many visitors enjoyed taking a break while treating themselves some goodies from the various pop-up food vendors.

The free event will continue today from 9 am to 4 pm in Shepparton's Maude St Mall.
