Breadwinner Em — played by Lisa McCune — faces a personal challenge when her domineering boss, Audrey — expertly played by Judith Lucy — tasks her with ghostwriting another autobiography for former Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist.
For Em, who still dreams of writing a fiction bestseller, it’s a dull hard slog, until she uncovers a controversy that could ruin several careers, including her own.
Gilchrist, though, also happens to be the number one sporting hero of Em's partner, Greg (Peter Helliar).
And with his newfound celebrity status since the publishing of Em's My Sh*t Husband, Greg has become overly involved in primary school politics.
Driven by a rivalry with perfect parent Luna (Casey Donovan), who’s also the president of the Parents and Friends Committee, Greg is on a mission.
Luna has the irritating knack of beating Greg at every turn, but when he realises he has a groundswell of popular support, a leadership spill seems inevitable.
Once again, the Australian comedy follows Em and Greg's misguided, but heartwarming, efforts to keep their marriage afloat.
But this time an all-star cricketer's reputation is at stake, and it's going to be a bumpy ride.
How To Stay Married returns on Tuesday, May 4, at 8.30 pm on WIN.
