Six new engineering scholarships for Goulburn Valley students

Prospective engineering students in the Goulburn Valley can now apply for one of six new GOTAFE scholarships, including two mechanical apprenticeships.

The full-tuition scholarships are funded by SPC, and successful recipients will complete their course placement there.

The scholarships include:

● two Certificate II in Electrotechnology

● two Certificate II in Engineering

● one Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering

● one Certificate III in Engineering – Metal Fabrication.

SPC chief executive officer Robert Giles said these scholarships reflected the company’s commitment to the community.

“We want to support the local workforce here in the Goulburn Valley and we are excited to be investing in training in the region to ensure our communities are equipped with job-ready skills for the future,” he said.

The scholarships are open to prospective students aged 18 to 65 who live in the Goulburn Valley.

Applications close at 5 pm on Friday, February 21.
