State Member for Euroa Steph Ryan said local sporting clubs wishing to upgrade equipment, buy new uniforms or increase the skills of their volunteers were eligible to apply under the program.

“Programs like this are designed to ensure all Victorians can enjoy the benefits of participating in sport and active recreation,” Ms Ryan said.
“Our local sporting clubs and associations help keep our local community connected and healthy.
“Whether your club is looking for new uniforms, or upskilling for coaches and volunteers, these grants are a great way of keeping sport strong in our region.”

The program, which is split into four different categories, provides funding of up to:
● $5000 for training for coaches, officials and volunteers;
● $5000 to improve operational effectiveness;
● $2000 to address barriers indigenous athletes face in terms of participation in sport and active recreation; and
● $1000 for new uniforms and equipment.
Applications are now open and close on February 18.
