Benalla Bushrangers’ Blaster program back for another season

The Blaster program is designed for kids who are keen to learn the basics of cricket, such as batting, bowling and catching.

The Junior Blaster program is for younger children while the Master Blaster program (for nine to 10-year-olds) involves playing structured games.

Benalla Bushrangers president Mark Saunders said the club put a big emphasis on its junior development.

“Without juniors, the club has a limited future and the Blaster program is a great way to introduce primary school-aged kids to cricket,” Saunders said.

“The Friday evening sessions are run at the Gardens, which is a great spot to be active.

“Last year we saw many parents enjoying the Gardens and its surroundings with picnics and the like.”
