Believe that and you'll believe anything. But for the more serious fitness fanatics in Benalla finding comfortable activewear can be a challenge.
That challenge, however, has been addressed by local designer Marion Evans who pitched an idea to garment producer Jamala that it could not ignore.
After chatting with Jamala chair Ian Gill, the two worked to develop a gym top for ladies that has a natural fit and is more practical than designs already on the market.
Marion’s design is created from Jemere, an ultra-fine composite of merino wool with a dab of cashmere and a hint of silk to make a garment that breathes while exercising.
She has also created a unique design, which is standard at the front, but extends far over the lower back to give comfort and helps to avoid riding up through all movement.
A limited run of these tops are being made to test the market, and if successful Marion wants to share them with the world.
Mr Gill said Jamala had been developing Jamere for some time.
"We focus on natural fibres with ultrafine merino making the vast bulk of the yarn to give extreme softness, strength, flexibility and durability," Mr Gill said.
"The natural bactericidal properties of wool and its ability to wick away water vapour from the body, keeps you feeling far more comfortable than most."
If you would like to give Marion's design a try you can purchase one of the limited edition tops directly from Jamala at www.jemala.com.au
The introductory price is $69.95 with delivery anticipated in late October.
