The local share market has lifted, with good news for gas producers and banks charting a third consecutive weekly rise.

The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index on Friday closed up 27.4 points, or 0.35 per cent, to 7,749.0, while the broader All Ordinaries rose 28.5 points, or 0.36 per cent, to 8,022.7.
The energy sector rose 1.87 per cent after the federal government announced gas would be the centrepiece of its energy policy to 2050.
The ASX200 closed for the week up 1.6 per cent, following last week's gain of 0.7 per cent, for its third week in the green.
The Australian dollar was buying 66.12 US cents, from 65.72 US cents at Thursday's ASX close.
