Seniors: The Seniors stamped their authority on the top five with an emphatic victory over Elmore.
The Hoppers were forced to build on another slow start, kicking a wasteful 3.4 to the Bloods 2.3 to take a slender seven-point lead into the opening break.
A lift in pressure around the contest led to an increase in forward 50 entries for Colbinabbin, as they added 4.5 to Elmore’s 2.1 to increase the half-time margin to 23 points.
The third quarter saw the Hoppers tighten their defensive structure and begin to create turnovers in dangerous parts of the ground.
This allowed quick entries and easy shots on goal for the Colbo forwards as they piled on 6.6 to 2.1 to stretch their lead to 52 points at three-quarter-time.
It was all green and gold in the final term as the Hoppers ran riot, slamming home 8.4 to 3.3 to blow the final margin out to 83 points.
It was pleasing to see Charlie Ryan look right at home in his senior debut.
Best: Will Morrow, Todd Bryant, Nick Knight, Hadleigh Sirett and Matthew Riordan.
Reserves: The reserves had a point to prove, having only beaten the Bloods by five points in their first encounter earlier this year.
The Hoppers came to make amends, booting 2.3 to 0.3 to lead by 12 points at quarter-time.
The second term was much of the same as Colbinabbin controlled the play and hit the scoreboard at will, adding 2.3 to 1.3 to extend their advantage to 18 points.
The Hoppers had plenty of opportunity in the third but were wasteful in front of goal, booting 3.4 to the Bloods 1.1 to increase the three-quarter-time margin to 33 points.
To their credit Elmore battled hard in the last, though the Hoppers were able to win the quarter by booting 2.3 to 1.3 to seal the 39-point victory.
Best: Jye Patten, Ned Barlow, Jono Barnett, Braden Brown and Luke Hill.
Thirds: The thirds fought hard against one of the benchmarks of the competition, never giving up until the final siren.
They played beautifully in patches, controlling the play with short passes and looking to access the middle of the ground as often as possible.
Best: Sam Ryan, Darcy Brown, Hugh Kerlin, Harry Rathjen and Jack Cairns.
Netball
A grade: The A grade girls were impressive with a strong win over top five team Elmore.
The girls secured a 20-goal win over the Bloods and continue to overcome the challenge of adjusting to different line ups each week.
Grasshoppers’ best on went to goal keeper Lou Dupuy.
Scores: Colbo 50 def. Elmore 30.
A reserve: The girls again showed that they can match it with any opposition after winning the last quarter.
The girls continue to improve and play some fantastic passages of play.
The incentive award went to Naomi Bryant who was brilliant in defence, taking intercepts, pressuring every pass in the ring and directing attacking plays out of defence.

B grade: As the grey clouds rolled in, the game against Elmore got off to a physical start.
There was plenty of action both ends of the court with some fantastic turnovers in mid-court.
The McCaig Magic, aka Macy and Gabby, shared the role of centre and steadied the team when needed.
Both goalies played a sensational game with Meg’s long and high bombs landing in the ring on most occasions.
In the third quarter there were glimpses of good play but Elmore crept closer, making the spectators nervous.
The sun shone in the final quarter and so did the B grade girls, running out winners by four goals.
Best on went to Meg Taylor for the second week in a row.

B reserve: Colbo 19 lt Elmore 49.
U17: The girls played great team netball on a beautiful but chilly day on their home court.
Although tested early by Elmore, the girls pulled away in each quarter to notch up a win by 33 goals.
Keely Parker had the ball on a string around the midcourt and perfected her timing to feed into Ella and Dom who were phenomenal in goals.
Dom Palmer’s determination shone through as she cleverly worked the ring against tough opponents, claiming 41 goals.
Awards: Keely Parker (Canteen), Dom Palmer (Subway).
Scores: Colbo 66 def. Elmore 33.
U15: The Colbo girls had a tough match and each week the team shows improvement and they managed to bring the margin to 14 points in the end.
At the attacking end we had Mackenzie, Summer and Zoe along with Monica and Stella in the last half.
In defence we had Joe, Riley, Stella and Dana. Awards this week went to Stella and Zoe.
