Over 30 years ago, Reg Botting started working for himself; pruning trees, mowing lawns, landscaping, paving and removing rubbish.
During this time, he undertook a number of different jobs and was introduced to a quirky characters and interesting experiences.
‘‘I wrote the first story 30 years ago,’’ Mr Botting said.
Working on his dream for over three decades, Mr Botting decided it was time to turn his stories into a book after his 70th birthday. ‘‘It thought that’s it and I borrowed $5000 from the bank,’’ he said.
Mr Botting published All In A Daze Work this year, a book filled with 61 short stories from his time on the job site.
He hopes the community can share in his sentiment and relate to the numerous experiences shared by tradies across all fields.
All In A Daze Work can be purchased at Shepp City Garden Equipment, The Footy Korner, Goulburn Valley Newsagency, Mooroopna Post Office, newsXpress Tatura, newsXpress Riverside, Dunkirk Ave Post Office and Colliver Rd Post Office.
The book costs $25.
