Newly-appointed Rebecca Mathieson is in charge of the A and B-grade senior squads and has big plans for the 2019 OKNL campaign.
Mathieson previously played A-grade netball for Swanpool and Violet Town before making the switch to the All Blacks.
In 2018 she led the Panthers B-grade side deep into finals and aims to continue that rich vein of form with the club’s top side.
The Panthers have been on the slow incline in recent years, from finishing rock bottom a few seasons ago, to 10th in 2018 with four wins from their 18 matches.
All Blacks Football Netball Club vice-president Sarah Kilpatrick previously told The Ensign that with Mathieson’s wealth of knowledge, experience and hard-working attitude, the club was confident she was the woman to take the team’s forward.
In other divisions, after two consecutive club best and fairest awards in the under-17s and B-reserves grades, Jessica Blaine will lead the line for the B-reserves team.
Blaine will co-coach alongside Millie Sammon, who previously played with cross-town rivals Goorambat before making the switch to the Panthers.
The Under-17s will be coached by last year’s A-grade club best and fairest winner Elyse Felstead.
Felstead has played for the club’s top side for more than two years.
She also coached the B-reserve side in 2018, encouraging the girls to work on their skills and voice on the court to work hard for some successful wins.
